Kory Wins! (The last place prize.)  Jones losses another tough battle, this time for last.  So I get the Jelly Beans for being the least likely to win!  (If only I would have gotten jelly beans for all the other "Least-likely-to win" events I've been in I'd be a wealthy man!) Jimmys has got the pool if Kentucky wins, if not it's a tie which will go to Nancy KFed and Barry will be dukeing it out for the auction championship, while Kristina takes on Steve for the Lotto title.

Kory's First Annual OSCAR POOL!  Call for details!
Kory wins it by 1 point to start a wonderful tradition

Our crack staff have broken out their slide rules and graphing paper and come to the following conclusions.  Tony can't win. Stewart can't win. Federman can't win.  Let's face it, most of you can't win.. In fact, It looks like JIMMY and NANCY are in the drivers seat, thanks to the Wildcats of Kentucky.Steve H. STOLE a final four Lotto ticket when Rhode Island sunk that last second 40 footer.  Half of Federman's Auction teams are out, but he's still alive, and will face Durham's Tar Heels for a shot at the title.

Well, its about this time in the tourney that you can start to figure out whether or not you have any chance of winning. Barry J.in fact,  has secured his rightful place and title of LOSER. A quick glance reveals that Tony has the best chance of walking away with our money. -Ask him about Marquette and three certain letters (N.I.T) Ange and Nancy K are also in the hunt.

Holly Moses! The first annual Tourney Auction went off without a hitch.  In fact, it went of and out of this world!  The final Total Kitty was 200 Jelly Beans!  200 Jelly Beans!  -Ron Reagan would be proud of those numbers, if he could understand what you were talking about..
Check the Auction section for details on what fool paid what price... (Rounding all Jelly Beans to the nearest 1/4 :-})

First rounds done, and boy was it FANtastic! Check out how you've done and double check your scores with the ones posted.
Remeber that the point value has doubled for correct picks in the second round.
Note: those people at the bottom have postmarked and mailed in their picks... they just havn't arrived yet.  Have no fear, their from Connecticut and know nothing about hoops.  (like I do... check out the bottom of the stats).  The POLIS clan is doing well, along with the MACMILLIAN group.  The HAYES and HAYES and ASCOCIATED also is doing quiteroup.  The HAYES and HAYES and ASCOCIATED also is doing quite well. Durham's dice rolls have kept him competative.  Well, thats it' for now.  Look for a midday update later ..  Mr. K

March 10, 1998
Well, The first annual lottery went off without a hitch.  Tom S. and Allen F. came to enlighten us with their NCAA knowledge.. WHATEVER!!  At first glance there are some interesting match ups.  Remember, each team has almost an equal chance of winning! There's a father son battle, a husband wife match up, a kinky self-on-self game. More later!

The greatest month in sports has finally arrived!!
I've added the rough draft pages for the auction, lottery and regular pools.
IMPORTANT! I've decreased the Point value for the last round of the pool from 10 to 7.
Finally, Erin S, winner of last years pool, has been talking smack for weeks.  -She's better at it than her husband, but.. GIVE IT UP. You're going to lose.
Feb. 26
Hold on to your hats, ladies and gents (and Sandricks) Brian "grandpa" Hilltunen is in for pool! That should convince everyone to join in ASAP.
I've fixed some obvious spelling errors and cleared up a few rules.
NOTE: What is posted now for the Lotto and Auction rules are still in the "tweaking" phase. Any suggestions (except from STEWART) will be considered.
February 25, 1998
I created most of the pages today.
I sent out the first "hey look at me" E-mail.  If you didn't get it tell me!
Spelling is not my strong suit (I've got more important things to do with my time) So all the pages are in ROUGH DRAFT mode.  Let me know of errors POLITELY and I might fix them.
